2042 uses spun-up Amazon AWS servers because it's cheaper (and because corporations hate dedicated servers since people might edit the servers to get rid of or fully unlock the premium live service crap).
Maybe your ISP is throttling connections to Oregon and California where the games servers are.
Or they're routing the game through eastern canada or you're going to US east coast servers instead that might be 60+ ping.
The games networking runs fine, so it's likely your ISP being crap and has nothing to do with your PC. Or your own networking internally is bad. If you're on wifi it might be getting blocked by something or not a strong signal.
Are you connected to the router using wifi or a cable? Do you have other people using it or downloading stuff at the same time? You should do a speedtest.net test and see what it says about your connection.
- @MackTKau I’m in BC and a buddy in Alberta gets the same thing. My ping is 27, his is 38. The game has the network graphs you can turn on, which I did a while back. It has bandwidth in and out readings. My ping is 27 when local, up to 90 when I’m matched to a central US server. It’s the bandwidth in reading that indicates about a 403 bandwidth in. Since it’s not apparently ping, I’m trying to figure out what they mean by it. I consistently get 170 +/- mbs on Speedtest. This will happen during the day when other people in my house are up or late when they’re all in bed. Like I said, happens to my buddy too, so either I’m causing his issue or it’s a Dice issue (which is what I assume but what issue?).

Bandwidth is just what the server is sending to you, in kbps, being high doesn't mean anything, even 450 isn't that much data so whatever the problem is, any issues are unrelated to that. I just checked in a server and I was getting 350 kbps or more bandwidth while having a 10 ping and no connection problems in a large server.
Your PC should be able to handle that no problem, which makes me think it's more likely that there's packet loss or some kind of routing issuew causing problems.- @MackTKauI wasn’t aware that the figures presented in the network graphs are in kbps, not mbs, so that’s news. Again, this occurs for more than just me. When it does occur, the game slows, feel choppy, slow, etc. I don’t know the cause but know those two facts. When it hits 400 kbps the game plays like butt. Thanks for commenting and adding new info.
