Why is there no Console Only Cross-Play?
We should get console crossplay only so me and my friend can play together without being killed every 2 seconds by some xtreme fast pcplayer.
they have unfair advantages over console players… ...

In Oceania region there isn’t enough players to launch a 128 player game without crossplay.
Crossplay doesn’t work (console players are disadvantaged anyway) and EA DICE were crazy to split PS4 and PS5 community due to PS4 lower tech. Makes the game useless - no games to play !
Here’s the choices n small Oceania region :
1. Enable cross-play in the game get totally hammer by all PC players op vehicles op Helis and op snipers and not enjoying the gameplay at all (endless killed and respawn loop)
or
2. Turn off crossplay and never get to play a match of any mode including portal 16x16 players retro games
No choice really - delete it and never play again ???
- @Passdogs_dad I have the exact same experience. It's frustrating. There's a lot of post on this forum like this (asking for crossplay between consoles only) but DICE simply don't say a word.
@IM1sfiT__ Console only crossplay is the thing I'm hoping for most in this game so we have more full servers without having to play against PC users. DICE hinted at it when they were talking about the technical playtest but I don't know if its ever been confirmed.

Take from that what you will, but I take it as being able to have the option of having crossplay between consoles only. If anyone has any recent information on this topic from DICE that I have missed please share.
I'm no dev, but it may be simpler to add input based servers, since COD has already done this. Simple is probably a stretch though, I doubt this is a quick fix to the game. PUBG has crossplay between Xbox and PS only as well. I think that input based servers would be best while adding K+M support for consoles. That would make everyone happy and solve two of the most talked about topics on this forum.
I’ve played all BF games since it started - loved every minute of it until BFV where the games s became COD with vehicles. Played BFBF2, BFBC, BFBC2, BF3 on PC then all the cheaters wrecked the game. Bought BF3 and 4, BF1 on Xbox and PlayStation and had a great time. Truly amazing !. Then I bought BFV and found that BF had degenerated to COD with vehicles hybrid. After that battlefield 2042 is released and I find it more like fortnite and COD. NOT ENJOYING 2042 THIS AT ALL Portal is fantastic but i can hardly find a match. Maybe I m just too old for this style of game now. Pity as I’m now retired and was looking for BF3 and 4 style experiences and there are none
Crossplay is a god awful on PS5 - surely they are going to do something about it. Maybe only listening to PC player complaints ? Funny that none of their hirer YouTube creators play on PS5 0r Xbox (there are those that say they do but are lying) How is it that PC players that overwhelmingly hate the game are pandered to. It’s also funny that PC haters are all playing the game ? SILK absolutely unloaded on the game and now plays it all day ???
if EA DICE do not address the crossplay on console issue they wont get the holiday sales coming up.
That would kill the franchise all together and they really deserve to go broke for all their liying
- @Passdogs_dad Same here in Brazil. I stopped playing and will be back when I can find a game with crossplay off in Xbox, or when they add crossplay only for consoles.
- @Passdogs_dad The lack of non crossplay servers has nothing to do with player population. The same waiting for new players" bs is plaguing every region including eu and na.

I found a way to play with crossplay on and no PC players on Xbox series, by installing the Battlefield 2042 Xbox One edition on my Xbox Series S.

- @fixatelive this is absolutely not new. And I wouldn't recommend it at all, or at least on xbox because the X1 version has an awful input lag + a lot of hitreg problems (and visuals are horrible when you are used to the next gen version).
