I disabled it on Ps5 on day 1 and haven't felt any need to put it back on.
No problems finding games on Ps5 with crossplay disabled. I would like to play with a few people I know who are on Series X though (But I would actually rather do that on the Ps4/Xone version, if the alternative is to play against mouse and keyboard while im on a controller)
That is certainly not the case for me and most people I see on Reddit and other forums. I also disabled it on PS5 day one but for the last week have found it impossible to get into a game unless I change to crossplay on and then you are paired with kbm players who absolutely dominate, it makes the game almost unplayable imo. It should be set to crossplay off by default on all consoles and crossplay with other next gen should be an option, either that or open servers from other regions with the ability to select so lobbys can be filled.

Could it be because they just can't full many seats for console players? I find that hard to believe considering how how popular BFBC2 and BF3 was, but ever since then it has been garbage TBH. If there core is mostly PC players it can only be due to there overly complicated controls, menus and 3k+$$$$ super computers needed to compete with PC players. 500$ for a PS5? Please...they know where the money is at

Bout the only reason I am glad that I am still on the PS4. We don't have issues like this, only crissplay we get are between us and the older gen Xbox.
I do wish the game had an option for console only cross-platform. Also wish it had a sub option to have cross play between old and gen gen consoles, just to expand the player numbers there.. Yes I know the new gens would have to play on lower player count maps and such but atleast it wouldn't be against PC players and would have a decent player pool...
