- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Psubond Yeah, Consoles won't go away, neither will 8 year old PCs.
But that is the hardware the games are designed to run on, to reach the biggest audience.
We already see what happens, when a new console generation becomes available, and games reach the limits of the old gen, and don't use most of the capabilities from the new gen.
And yes, I believe games are maybe developed on PC also, but the focus is consoles. - 4 years ago@Psubond I agree that consoles are here to stay, that said, if you want to have graphics and frame rates anywhere close to PC quality, you need both the newer $500 consoles and also at least a $1600 55" 120Hz TV and a TV stand, so I'd say you need around $2300 for the best console setup, and in comparison $2300 will get you a decent PC too.
Advantages of PC are multi-tasking and more gaming options, advantages of console are ease of use and limited to non-existent cheating...although that is at risk, ironically enough, with "CROSSPLAY ENABLED".
Just wait until Dice adds scoreboard and player stats for everyone to track and the kids to get peer pressured...then BF 2042 is at risk of turning into HALO wall hack aim bot disaster...HA- 4 years ago

Separate pc / console option, please
I'am stop playing bf2042 only because of it, my teammates play on ps, me on xbox. When playing against pc players i'am 90% get shot in head, no mater what i do, same for my team. When playing only xbox, all good.
PS aim-bot don't aiming to head, and try playing on gamepad, it's completely different playstyle, you can't turn around in ms. And I will add that aimbot does not work in vehicles, in dogfight you lose (much more easier aiming with mouse).

Every PC player I know also owns a console so stop whining because you can't afford a PC.
Crossplay should be optional for all platforms.
I prefer playing against PC players and having a more level playing field.
I don't think anyone can balance aim assist console vs pc (looking at Warzone).- frekwalda14 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ai-Fluffy Have not had a console since the 90's always been on a PC but with cross play off can not find a game at all so have to turn it on and for me not very playable when i am playing, very buggy, laggy. Watch players teleport, appear in front of me, die alot from console players especially xbox players. I have a high end PC and run on 1GB internet speed.
