In all crossplay matches I've played (and now you can't turn it off, even if the setting is switched to off), console players are dominating more than PC players. And that can be of any rank. Rank 40s, 50s, 60s racking up huge KDR ratios, beaning heads left right and centre, through walls, pre-emptively firing before you appear despite never being seen before. The aimbot (yes, it is basically an aimbot in this) is so overpowered it makes playing the game feel like an absolute chore. Compared to that brief period after mouse input was adjusted and I got some PC only servers, before an assortment of hackbots started appearing, the game was on fire for me again. I was getting the kind of scores I'd rack up in previous titles. Now its back to what it was, getting my head blown off in four shots by every XBox/PS player in visual range. You cannot win close range firefights without an absolute heap of luck, because they will just snap lock and land all of their shots, whilst they're tanking magazines-worth of ammunition.
TTK vs TTD between PC and console is shockingly unfair and it is making the experience utterly miserable even in a moderately decent round.
Sorry but this i complete nonsense. I much higher KD in xbox only lobbies i've been able to play, and console players in my squads are invariably performing worse than average.
A few weeks ago for some reason we got console only lobbies one day; that day i had 3-4 in every match, for ~12 matches.
I won most kills in two of these 12 matches without ever setting foot inside a veichle.
This has never happened, not once, not ever in any of my other 1000+ games.
But thats just my individual experience.
But i would add also like to add, that if anything you said were actually the case, PC wouldnt be returning back to being the overwhelming majority again after the influx of console players at the start of of season 2 (from 40-60% at the beginning back ~80% on avg in my region now).
I think that the only way a game that has as demanding specs as 2042, ends up having only 10%-30% of the playerbase playing on console, even though the entry cost of a console is like 1/5 of that of PC, is by forcing crossplay on everyone and completely failing to balance input. i really don't think theres any other way to achieve such a pathetic relative console playercount under given conditions.
They essentially tried merging the olympics with the paralympics, and as were all equal as human beings, they felt it sufficient to simply instruct the latter to "gitgud".
DICE should stop trying to lure us back with fancy wheelchairs and instead reinstate the paralympics or heal the cripples with mnk support, period.
