Why is there no Console Only Cross-Play?
We should get console crossplay only so me and my friend can play together without being killed every 2 seconds by some xtreme fast pcplayer.
they have unfair advantages over console players… ...

This right here is the solution:

If cross play off was default this whole thing would be a none issue.
The people I game with are on PC and honestly we don't want to play with console players.
We want a level playing field.
@Ai-Fluffy Same goes for me and my buddies who are on PS5. We have crossplay off in our settings as we don't want to play vs PC players.
This should be a default setting, only people who want to play with friends on a different platform should have to toggle this setting.

I agree with the above comments. It should have been opt-in from the very beginning in my opinion.
When you first play the game the opening screen should be: crossplay console only yes or no.
Not difficult and 10 mins work at most whilst getting a coffee also.

This would NOT work because even if new players would choose 'console crossplay only' they would not find a game and after impatiently waiting for about 10 seconds they would immediately go back to settings and turn crossplay on to be able to play.
