I cannot find a non cross platform game, at all. Still. Nothing.
We need responses. I understand people are on holiday. I work full time and when I'm not working I want to play the game the way we're allowed to play.
Can't fight bots and get ribbons, can't go past t3 unlocks, partial progression *. Don't have an infantry only map.
I'm stressed out. I want to enjoy this game I paid $100 for the week of early launch. Or should I say the beginning of "Early Access"@GarfieldTehKat DICE can't force people not to use crossplay and that would be the only real solution to your crossplay grievance. I don't have any issues finding games when I play on PS4 or Xbox One so potentially you may be able to boot up the last gen version of the game on your current gen console and play console only crossplay and have the experience you want on PS5 or Xbox Series X with the only limitation being 64 players - which many people prefer to 128 players.
Regarding official EA/DICE responses those come from the official Battlefield accounts on social media and official posts here on the forums. Devs will not offer official responses to issues unless they are authorized to do so as part of their job, so if you hope a UI or graphics, or systems design dev will come in here and start responding to threads it's not going to happen.
Feedback about portal has been continuously given to DICE so we can only hope that they listen at this point. I share your disappointment about not being able to progress in Portal, in fact it's one of my biggest bones of contention with this entry outside of the basic design concept departure form the series past entries. I understand that you and many others are frustrated, disappointed, and outright angry sometimes, and DICE is aware of it as well, I can assure you of that.
- SlottuR4 years agoSeasoned Rookie@Nutcrusherr Aim assist doesn’t help my recoil control, and it’s so low that most of the time the recoil will push you out of aim assist causing you to over adjust and miss shots and ultimately die if you were shooting a pc player
- SlottuR4 years agoSeasoned Rookie@Stew360 how about you play with controller and test it out for yourself. most you pc players have no idea what it’s like competing against m&k using a controller. See how much aim assist helps your gameplay compared to m&k. You hop on every post like this and post that same aim assist bs. Nobody’s asking for aim bots we just want a level playing field.

No crossplay= no matches for me on Xbox s...which is bs. MICROSOFT WONT GIVE REFUND SO STUCK WITH THIS GAME...just fix matchmaking already or authorize Microsoft to issue refunds

i though crossplay was controller vs controller and kbm vs kbm, hmmm. will look into that. not afraid of kbm players with this hit detection/rubberbanding

The major problem is cross play is on by default and many don't realize that and/or don't know where to turn it off. Cross play should be off by default, one should not assume everyone wants to play against other platforms. I would have thought developers would have learned this by the blowback from other titles
- DeepSixxxx4 years agoSeasoned Ace@RicksPvp - Playing on Xbox series X, I find that crossplay gives a better game experience for modes like TDM, Rush, HZ. I'm not exactly sure why, perhaps PC gamers are older and more experienced, but when I play crossplay, I get revived more, the players have better tactics, more "Cat and Mouse" fun 1x1 engagements, more objective based teamates, less 3-4 player groups running in herds and mowing down solo players, etc...
And as far as AA on console, it really doesn't seem to exist for this game as I can't tell a difference if it is on or off. I can say that some other games will actually yank you off one player and AA onto another that runs past them, but this game doesn't do that at all. And even when I have two players next to each other when sniping, I can shot them both at the same time as it won't "snap" to one or the other (which is impossible with strong AA). So if it does exist, it is very minimal at best.
In summary, I'd say if a console player is using a four paddle controller, and does not have to take the thumb off the right stick, it is comparable to PC for most weapon engagements. Having to use the D-pad is a disadvantage, but that only messes with grenade use and rear view vehicle looks, etc so not really hurting a 1x1 gun battle. I would say the LMG is probably at a small disadvantage on console as it is very easy to over-compensate for the recoil and get off target if you don't feather the fire rate perfectly.
That said, vehicles may be an advantage for PC players as when I ride shotgun with PC players in the Nightbird, they seem to have a lot more control and I provide radar as some of the PC guys rack up over 50-100 kills in one life. Also if you watch Twitch or Youtube, the best vehicle players seem to be PC players so perhaps the M/K is optimal for air vehicles over controller???
It is human nature to get upset when one thinks things are unfair, yet in all honesty, I don't think PC players have much, if any advantage for most hand weapon engagements in BF2042. - OoO_PanZer4 years agoNot applicable
To remember: I cannot find any games with cross play off on Xbox Series X 👎🏼👎🏼 Bye.

I doubt that. I could never see someone pulling off quick snipes at range with 2 joy sticks compared to a mouse without aim assist. Previous battlefields show how insane the assist is in game
