Ah very nice. Is it the same with the Xbox Consoles do you know? Can I play on my series X with my Xbox one buddies? If I decide to get the game again? (a whole other conversation lol)
- @smudgegard I believe it's the same.
Just a quick update, I've finally managed to play with my friends, but I had to download ps4 version of the game on my ps5.
So now i have both versions on my console, wasting double the space, in order to be able to enjoy (alone) full resolution, 128players and big maps, or play with my friends with ps4 version with all the limitations. i've ended up deleting another game to make space.
Is awful the fact that the game itself can't keep one version only, and just do the limitation on players and maps based on the server you pick.
Plus this means also that PC Players won't be able to play with PS4 and old Xbox, we have a friend in our group who was looking forward to buy a new GTX Nvidia during the black friday and the game in order to play with us, but he will probably skip this as he would only be able to play with me on the ps5 version, but not we the others on ps4

Yes @smudgegard ,
It is the same principle for the Xbox world!
New-gen Xbox's can install the old-gen Xbox One version of the game and can thereby play with them also!
