This is exactly my main reason as to why i bought the game in the first place. their marketing was saying i could play against AI and still gain my XP as if i was playin MP. now its just dead in the water
Personally for a player who is soley buying this game for the PVE features after a price drop, i think the modes are on the good side of things. In fact, given the rest of this disaster, i'd say they even hit it out the park.
I don't expect to unlock or rank up playing against Bots. I'm just from a generation where when i played games, it was about immersion, rather than scoreboards. If they included a campaign on this, i even would have bought it for the 60 usd.
But just for this i'll just wait for a Spring Sale or something when it drops to 19.99. However out of all the things to get on DICE about in regards to this game, idt this one of them. Just my own opinion.
The only reason I bought this game was for the solo mode.
I played the hell out of BF 3 and 4, a bit of Hardline, and skipped 1 and 5 as not a fan of WW 1&2 stuff. Also played a silly amount of MW2019. I'm getting to the age now where I'm getting slower and my patience is getting thinner for just how sweaty people are now, playing like an easter bunny on crack and like theres a multi million jackpot at the end of each match. I'm also not gonna be a fan of Sundance no.247,461,249 swooping out the air and 1 shotting me from nowhere.
Had great fun on day 1 and was relieved the progression in solo mode was really like they said it was, even racking up kills towards the mastery tier 1 weapon camo and character skins.
Then that just stopped dead. Mid match. All because they couldn't see how quickly their own system was going to get completed I assume. Judging by the rest of it, that was probably something else they didn't test too.
Several days now and nothing has been said, the only thing being they reduced the xp, which is fair enough. Make solo need more kills and harder bots or something. But please just add ALL progression back to solo mode. I paid for the game on this promise, and I would like to actually play it.

Oh my God you worded my thoughts perfectly! The solo progression mode was literally the ONLY reason that I bought the game. When I was younger sure I got all sweaty and pounded caffeine all day playing titles like this, but now I'm older, more chill, and while I still have good aim, I'm a little bit slower than I used to be and that's fine. I just want to play vs Bots either solo or with friends and enjoy a non toxic experience. Please bring back what you promised before we bought the game. I mean it was a SELLING point FFS. In most places that's called fraud.
