BF1942 -> BF2 Not a lot of change
Bf2 -> BF2142 Big change
BF2142 -> BC2 Big change

But the average experience of many players is of the BF3 - BF4 era, when in fact Dice have always been ripping things apart and upsetting players whenever they do. But if they hadn't we would never have got BF3/4. A sweet spot for everyone I know, but unless they push we are not going to have any more sweet spots. BF2042 may easily turn out to be one.
