@DJPtrakHow was movement different in previous BF games? Apparently the regular sprint is the same speed as BF3 and BF4. The tactical sprint is the same as both 3&4 with a perk.
I’m not sure about the strafing speed, but in BF5 there’s a perk that lets you strafe 60% faster than normal while you ads. Mackay has a similar trait and one of the reasons why I liked using him. Also again the perk in BF3&4.
I started thinking yesterday evening that maybe once the game launches, if it looks like it’s a lot of fun and the maps are well-designed etc., then maybe replacing the 4 standard classes with Specialists will not be such a big issue for people like me who are sceptical beforehand.

Potential 'meta' play.
Enemy identification
Not a fan of all class weapons.
So I am far from an absolute advocate of the system but just sensible enough to reserve judgement till release.- lzilchetl5 years agoSeasoned Ace

So I am far from an absolute advocate of the system but just sensible enough to reserve judgement till release.I think I'm in a similar place, and agree that there are unanswered questions to valid concerns. We dont really know how some of these will land yet do we? I'm staying optimistic though. Enemy ID doesn't worry me so much, friendly ID perhaps more so..... Ie, who's got the ammo? I've slipped over to warzone over the last few months, so sorta getting used to open weapon choices. Season passes ongoing I'm not so comfortable with. Prefer achievements and awards nice and simple - not too many.layers. Interesting though how meta play has become a marketing strategy. Not sure if constant nerf/buff tweaking will go down well. But, the specialist thing in general isn't worrying.
What's interesting though is how.mamy.want to just be a plain grunt and no wish to take on other characters. I sorta feel the same. But says something about the fantasy bf players want. It's not glamour and glory, it being a part of a larger force and specialist do take that illusion away a bit.
