I don't think I know anyone that would play against bots or games with bots as filler. The only time I would jump in a game with bots is to learn a vehicle or test weapons. Once I got what I wanted in the short amount of time that would take I would never play it with bots again.

Gears and Halo have had bots for years and people play against them every day. BFBC2 had a bot mode that was pretty popular. Every campaign you've ever played is vs "bots".
All the hand wringing over something that's only going to fill imbalanced or empty servers, when so little actual information is known, is kind of short sighted.. Right now BF4 servers are 5 pages deep with full servers and dozens in queue, that's just CQ large, Rush is popping too, along with a couple hundred playing Domination and other game modes. So worrying about running into a few bots when there's going to be thousands of people playing seems baseless.
