Why the lack of attack helicopters?

After returning to 2042 from the last time played in December I am sad to see only one attack air vehicle on the maps I have been forced into playing.

Not sure how it is outside of stranded and discarded. But it's very sad to just have one.

Especially when there's someone in a plane that doesn't die the entire match.

2 thumbs down to dice

  • @Flavin913Because people cried about being killed by helicopters so Dice decided to reduce the numbers of the main threat to helicopters aka other aircraft so that this single helicopter left can get more total kills on its own with less things to watch out for.

    Herp derpity derp.

@UP_Hawxxeye THIS! i also have the feel that if you are good, you just kill the enemy chopper and then you can farm endlessly. Before you needed to watch out. Anyways ALL vehicles are too weak and we need more at all. We have twice the amount of players and half the vehicles to previous games.

In old games i loved vehicles, but now i just go play TDM because i wont get any vehicles anyway in conquest...

@UP_Hawxxeye i mean in the vast majority of situation helis would not engage oneanother whatsoever...
opting to just ignore eachother to farm without impeding oneanother because profits....
the overall balance in this game remains a joke and not even a good one

I mean atleqst give us 2 per team, so silly they take 2 steps back on air attack vehicles

  • 3 games I've had where someone gets plane at the start and never dies....

  • I would much rather have 2 attack air vehicles and 1 transport vehicle

  • The categories they have now just aren't decently balanced...

    They should allow 4 ATV/Hovercrafts, 2 Transports MAV/Condor(Hind), 3 attack vehicles Tanks/RAMs/Bolte's, Wildcats, 1 jet and 2 Heli's Atttack/Blackbird/Stealth

That should give plenty of vehicular combat with decent variety and allow for some decent aerial combat too.

  • Suggested Dice vehicle category changes:

Bolte should be moved to light vehicle...as so nerfed now it can't do much "attack"

Nightbird should be moved to transport...as so nerfed now it can't do much "attack", plus  holds 4 players to transport

Jet should be moved to new "light attack" category...as so nerfed now it can't do much "attack"

The game has less and less vehicle diversity and now it is easy to take advantage of the situation when players "take away" the vehicle advantage by selecting the weaker bolte/nightbird/jet.  It really harms their team as the other vehicles in their current categories are way more powerful and useful.  More balance/fairness is needed by breaking out the bolte/nightbird/jet from their current categories...

For example, I know I can dominate the air with an attack chopper when the other team has taken away their attack helicopter and replaced it with a jet that flies in circles on a small map and does little to no damage to my heli.  And for some reason, the majority of jet players have no experience and simply fly in circles to bird watch or something???  My mouth literally waters when I'm waiting for the attack heli to open up and I see a jet joy riding outside the combat zone...and I never attack them as they are basically my team mate helping me win...👿

The way the vehicle categories are currently set up allows for total air domination with just one new player joy riding in a jet on a 128 player game...that is completely unfair to the other 127 players, and can be avoided with a more creative and robust vehicle category system.  Same with joy riding boltes and Nightbirds.  Luckily it is an easy fix to balance the equation...
