- I’m not sure what you mean by suicide deployment. I presume you mean repeated missile attacks. You do realize that there is a 20 second cooldown after the second missile, right? If you’re dying to this, it’s because of teamwork, not a specialist skill.

First, the Lis`s missile does 27 constant damage wherever it hits the tank
I T1d Lis at the end of season 2. If changes to damage have occurred, I sit corrected. That being said, when a mission tracks damage to vehicles, I detail my damage. According to how missions track, the amount of damage a missile does is dependent on
- Where it contacts the vehicle (see my Bolte story)
- The current health of the vehicle (the more damage it has, the more damage the missile does. I have seen 30 damage. Again season 2)
Usually, it takes 3 missiles to down a Bolte, however, I posted a video of a 1 hit. I shot at the Bolte with a Lis rocket, and the Bolte got airborne over a hill. I hit the Bolte undercarriage and destroyed the 100% health vehicle. Again, Seasons 2.
They don't need to be on the front lines solo ground vehicles.Almost all Lis will not stand where enemies and tanks can easily find them and shoot her TGM.They just need to hide behind houses and bunkers and guide missile after missile to hit the tanks easily
I get capped about 30% of the time after missile fire. That being said, with the current sentinels and walls, Lis has to be much closer for success. Players like Hawkeye draw her out. We have to down the sentinel before firing missiles. If you're not doing that, that is your choice, and not a reason to stop this change. If Lis is behind something, that takes quite a bit of range to steer the missile. She has to be close enough to the tank for a detour in her current 350 meter non boosted missile. I do notice when I hit a tank, in big bold letter I get a LOCATION FOUND warning, so if the tank is paying attention to his radar, he knows where I am and sends his barrage my way. You dont need to see me. Ive been destroyed in houses by tanks who cannot see me. If you cannot do that, that is a measure of you're skill as a pilot, not Lis positioning. M5 and C4 are weapons that require direct exposure to a tank's field of vision in order to cause damage to a tank,Sundance`s grenades cause only minor damage,Casper's drones can only interfere with tanks (The old version`s drone plus C4 is not included),as infantry equipment, these conform to the "risk with benefit" theory.But the lis completely don't need to take any risk to hit the tank and cause a lot of damage.
Lis lights up on radar and is a big red glow (SOFLAM as an example) when guiding a missile. As I said before, I get capped about 3 times out of 10 because I am a sitting duck when guiding. The missile is not an AA self guided. You have to stand stationary, with no sight of what is going on around you. You obviously do not play Lis so maybe attempting to speak on risk is something you should not do. Most people get their Melee Takedown moves on a Lis who is in that stature. It is hard to even hear footsteps because the noise from the missile is so loud. But even the vehicles with cannons find me because once I hit them, my location is given away.
Finally, did you know that when the player dies and respawn, all the equipment come to full? And you can kill yourself in ESC at any time?Now you can repel and destroy any attack with tanks by sacrificing yourself.
Why yes I did, thank you for raising this strat. Let me take you through the process because you obviously have not done it:
- Fire second missile (vehicle at 50%)
- Select Redeploy (3 seconds for the game to show you die and get to the respawn screen)
- Cannot redeploy for 8 seconds (we are now 3 seconds into vehicle borg regeneration, presuming nobody else is targeting)
- 1 second to redeploy (vehicle has been generating health for 4 seconds now)
- Arm and fire 2 seconds. Missile takes about 5 seconds on average to find vehicle, more if it has moved. (11 seconds into Borg regeneration which healed the vehicle for more damage of the Second Missile Fired)
Risks
- 2 out of 10 missiles are destroyed before achieving goal because they're shot down (hit window being enlarged so this should go up)
- 3 out of 10 times Lis is killed by someone else. (see earlier statement)
- This presumes the vehicle does not have a Repair Bot (full health starting over if it does)
- This presumes the driver doesn't have a repair tool equipped and isnt jumping out repairing (full health starting over if he does)
That leave about 50% of the time, we are dying (now you know why my KD ratio sucks) while trying to fight you. And about 40% of the time the vehicle is back to 100% health. That leaves 1 out of 10 times for a success. 10% success ratio is not a reason to stop the changes.
On top of all that, Repair Bot cooldown RESETS before I can get off a killing blow. In other words, Lis cannot down a tank solo. Period. End of Story.
If you're dying to Lis, someone else is hitting you. It's called "Teamwork" and is the foundation design of the game. The only vehicles Lis can destroy solo
- Mini Helos
- Jeep (takes 3 or 4 missiles presuming no repair bot. Will kill pilots if contact of missile is the windows)
- Bolte (takes 3 or 4 missiles presuming no repair bot. Will kill pilots if contact of missile is the windows)
Lis isn't your problem. Since you haven't played her, enough, you do not have a good feel of the time it takes for one to achieve 400 kills to get to T1. Assists do not count, damage does not count. It isn't 400 hits, it is 400 Final Blows. Consider that means you're attacking 4000 vehicles, and dying about 3600 times, before T1.
Yes, I have done the math. Pilots only experience the kill. They don't experience when Lis is killed before the missile hits. They don't experience if the missile runs out of gas. They don't experience when Lis redeploys. They don't experience the 90% of missiles that just don't matter.
Lis is fine. The buff will change the game. Not only will more missiles get shot down because of the enlarged hit box, but the range will increase Lis's opportunity as well. This seems like a balanced change to me.
