@SrMaybe2042I think many people who use a controller when playing on console are worried that if DICE allows the use of M&K for Battlefield, then the game will become unfair as the M&K players will be much better able to control their character than the players using a controller.
No, look, I don't see it like that! Today, if I compare it with the gameplay in COD, the hand controllers have native aiming assistance from the game, which balances the game between the players. there are even communities in DISCORD between the two M&K and command controls. Even today we see that many play on PC with a hand controller, because they feel comfortable! and the great competitive players mostly play with handheld controllers. At least that's what I see from my perspective towards the new experiences that COD has offered, and it's not even a problem today.😉

If it can be done in a fair way, I personally would be ok with it 🙂
Btw. perhaps many people who use a controller are worried that if M&K becomes allowed in Battlefield, the next step will be to introduce crossplay with people playing on PC.

There should be crossplay with pc. But eith input based lobbies.

It´s not only COD that has M and K support on the Xbox you also have Halo, Roblox, Warframe, Sea of Thieves, Gears, Ark and Fortnite to mention some of the multiplayer games. And also a lot of Sp games. And as many say it works well there. Controlers have aim assist so it evens out, you even have some PC players using controllers instead of keyboards, then why not have mouse and keyboard support on consoles?
Then the matchmaking works a bit different in these games I think, Jackfrags recently made a video about using controllers in COD Warzone, if you matchmake with controller u meet 80% controller users, and if u matchmake with M&K you mett 30% controllers or something like that. He said he also seems to win a lot more games using controller while playing on PC.
And in Halo you can choose to only matchmake with people with the same input or all inputs, and you can´t change inputs during a match to cheat the matchmaking. If you start a match with controller you have to play the entire match with controller until you back out to the menus, the keyboard wont respond to input during gameplay.
And lets not forgett that PC players using controllers are the ones that get the advantage. If you use controller on PC and matchmake with other players using controllers, like console players. You both get aim assist, but the PC player also get more graphical options to get better visibilty, FOW slider wich most console games still dont have, he can also have an ultrawide monitor for even wider FOW, ability to get even higher FPS.
- 4 years ago@Blackidus Woww.. that is new for me! I would never imagine people playing FPS using controller on purpose. 😂
I guess I am really bad in using controller. I even give up Outer World because of that. Really bad experience.
So if it's not that unbalanced there is no reason to not allow Kb&M on consoles. I hope EA is reading all of this.- 4 years ago
@TifanofauvoYeah both Jackfrags and Stodeh upploaded videos recently where they tested playing Warzone with controlers and i could not tell the difference 🙂 Though they did avoid using snipers beacuse that is much easier with keyboard and mouse 🙂
I have myself allways played Battlefield on PC but if I cant afford an uppgrade before 2042 releases I will play it on my Series X and I hope it supports Keyboard and Mouse.

not to mention that there are a number controller mods and add-ons that can be tweaked so that for instance weapon recoil is removed completely. At this moment, there's no way i can afford a PC that can run these new titles its just impossible so I'm stuck playing games with a M&K on my Xbox one. I completely agree that if PC players are going to exploit the Controller and all its add-ons then why is it that K&B should no be available for Console but lets face it, just because someone is using a mouse and keyboard doesnt actually mean they are great at playing the respective game, using a mouse takes some skill as well.
So in my opinion, all the options should be there but it should be up to the gamer how they want to play, cross-play on/off, with/without K&B or even Controller.

@calslondonPlenty have said why they don't want PC into crossplay with console bringing the PC cheaters into the mix to completely ruin the experience for console players that we shouldn't have to deal with, seeing as they're adding the bots with no option to turn them off hopefully means there won't be cross-platform crossplay.
The only platform I would be ok with is PlayStation + Xbox with no PC in the mix at all.If they add K&M they can make it to where you're only matched against other K&M users as should be. That way there is no advantage because you're not allowed to play with other people using a controller that seems completely fair to me.

Even if somebody has the money to buy a $1,000+ gaming PC, what's the point when aimbotters and wall hackers are just going to ruin your gaming experience. It's like flushing money down the toilet in my opinion.
PC gaming is only good for single player games anymore.
