It'll now release worldwide on November 19th.
For early access on November 12th.

I surely hope it's delayed. The specialists are terrible, must be redone.
@AuthurieNO. Just go play something else if your reasons for not liking it are possibly sexist and/or racist because we can play as women and others of color.
As for the other possible reason a lot of us actually love the fact we will finally be able to use Assault Rifles as a Engineer or Sniper as a Support and stuff like that.
So no the Specialists are good as they are. If I could change one thing it would be to make their gagets and perks universal so we could mix and match them with anyone.
But they still don't need to delay it at all just because you don't like it.

This is the problem want to drop wall need hero X needle gun hero Y see through walls hero Z... Once everyone figures out the most OP/cheese/Meta everyone will be the same hero...
Put them as skins and carry on, EA chasing a trend that's already over here.
@Trokey66 Anyone could use any weapon or tools within the assault class? Its not the same.
@1Hairy-GorillaThey didn't need to be as the Assualt class had all the 'meta' weapons and gadgets.
There is also nothing to say that had classes been retained, all class weapons and gadgets would still be included.
My point still stands, no matter what system is in place, players will gravitate to the 'meta'.
@Trokey66Long enough to know it's ridiculous to bring it up. I can see both sides of the specialists argument. I personally am indifferent, I'm more concerned about how it will play. I see no need to bring race or sex into a talk about 2042. I can understand the argument in Battlefield V ("immersive") and you have Misaki running around in France with a katana strapped to her, yeah I can understand the frustration and the valid gripes with that. I also understand the gentle balance of fun and immersive-ness. With that said, I have not seen much of that in Battlefield 2042 discussion. I'm not saying it isn't there, just I haven't seen it. Having said that I certainly have not seen it in this particular post so for the individual to bring that out of the wood works seems unnecessary. An opinion, however much I agree or disagree with it, it just that, an opinion. I try to see things from everyone's perspective to at least understand where they are coming from. Don't have to bring race or sex into it defend my side of the argument. With that said, I look forward to playing as all the specialists. Jack of all trades if anyone is looking for one in their clan! I'm a free agent as it stands!

Anyways the rumors about it being delayed are getting more serious so now we are at the time where those working for DICE and EA need to stop hiding and come out and honestly tell us if things are still on schedule or if there's going to be a delay.
I still hope it doesn't get delayed but they have been silent for too long.

I thought you left for Reddit, Jessica? Anywho, this game has been delayed and you guys might as well accept it. I'm going to be playing COD Vanguard this weekend. This entire year is a complete waste of time and garbage. I just hope DICE gets rid of specialists during their extended vacation.

Lmao. Get a grip. Specialists do not belong in BF -- whether they are males, females, disabled, black, white, purple etc.
All we ask for is the return of BF3/BF4 sort of sandbox gameplay with a few bells and whistles for freshness. If they did that, I guarantee you the game will be very successfull from a sales perspective and well received by fans. Instead, DICE seems to deviate entirely from their whole game design. They're creating a hero shooter with silly specialists, cartoonish graphics and what appears from published gameplay, very boring recoiless guns.

You are not getting any of this. It's over. The gig is up! You are pre-ordering EA's best impression of COD. I cancelled my pre-order because I am personally waiting to see if EA/DICE delivers a product that is worthy of my money. Despite today's delay (which I already suspected), I am anticipating this game will finally be released in March 2022. When it is released, it will have a variety of specialists that you can choose from and love like Apex Legends.
I still wish it wasnt delayed but I hope that means we get the beta in October.
yep, cannot change what has happened. Imagine they just released it in an unfinished state, they'd be up against the wall for that.

I for one, (being of sound and level mind) is happy that the game is being delayed - we can cast our opinions proper when it launches.
The beta will be a good chance to road test the game.
