The custom reticles is a good question and there has not been any official information about that feature yet or if it is coming to the game.

In BF2042 there will be multiple skins for your weapons. There will be also different rarity of the skins:
- Common (Grey)
- Rare (Blue)
- Epic (Purple)
- Legendary (Gold)
Weapon skins apply to the whole weapon. Whatever attachments you have on your weapons will be affected by the skin you have applied. You’ll also be able to unlock weapon charms, all of which can be equipped on nearly every weapon in the game.
For example: Tier 1 M5A3 Skin

Isn't it the black and red skins that are representing the highest level of accomplishments in the BF2042 game?
So 5 levels of mastery as listed here and not just 4:

@CyberDyme what @WindowsManTv_CZE was talking about was just focused on the weapons not the Badges/Medals what you can get too.
Maybe they include more Badges/Medals than Skins or the first Tier 5 rank you get didn't include a Skin for the same requirement.
We don't know that yet for sure.
The color naming of the Skins are more like just made similar to games that had different rarities before BF, with like Grey, Blue, Purple, Gold ect.
And it doesn't actually call the color the skin will have either. As Tier 1 for example has the Black/Red style as we saw on pictures.
It's just a rarity thing 😉

Pretty sure we'll get those adjustments available.
We had the possibility to change crosshair color ect. already in BF4, BF1 and BFV.
(still mot conformed tho)
Guns:
Probably not fully customizable as we didn't saw anything like that yet. I guess will be more like previous titles that you can choose between certain preset Skins available in the game.
Like the ones you can unlock be assignments or leveling up you weapon in general to get different rare skins like this...

Same i guess it'll be for Soldier and Vehicle Skins, with some dope looking preset skins. (but we still didn't see the full game yet) 😉
Gun Charm:
What we know for sure, that you probably can add a nice touch to your Gun by choosing a little weapon charm, as we already know you can get one by one of the Editions.
