@IsBF2042EVENgoodHard agree these kinds of things are dumb. You should ALWAYS be able to play your game offline in one way or another. If the user doesn't have an internet connection to the servers, the game should prompt them whether they want to just play offline with limited features. Game studios have been unfortunately letting this basic function go to the wayside over the years and it's really, really stupid. Especially in a future of climate disasters and internet service outages... I'd like to be able to play my game offline if necessary..
Totally agree. If your internet is down for whatever reason , it would be nice to be able to play some version of the game on your own.

It wouldn't be possible with 2042 unfortunately as everything requires connecting to a server, even when playing solo.

Just curious, but, why does it require being connected to the servers to play solo?
- ElliotLH3 years agoHero+@80uwjx4m1chc There isn't a campaign or a real single player component so everything goes through multiplayer servers. If there was a campaign then I'd assume we'd be able to play that offline, like with BF4, BF1, BFV etc.
