- ElliotLH3 years agoHero+@80uwjx4m1chc There isn't a campaign or a real single player component so everything goes through multiplayer servers. If there was a campaign then I'd assume we'd be able to play that offline, like with BF4, BF1, BFV etc.

The meme about paying extra for online features is what keeps me away from using consoles for multiplayer games.
As someone who started BF in BF3 on PS3, I also decided that Mouse and Keyboard on PC is the definitive way to play Battlefield.
that makes no sense at all you’re saying that you need to spend more money on an online subscription to play a game that you bought from them on a console that you bought from them when there’s a game mode that you could play without going online

I'm not too too tech savy. But, I suppose if you had the source files you could. But, then so would everyone else which makes it a challenge. If you had a server emulator you could for sure. That's another big problem with BF 2042, no server browers it's like EA and Dice are dictating how we play the game. It's so messed up this game. I wonder if another game company can take over the franchise.

"I wonder if another game company can take over the franchise"
1000% this idea
We got royally shafted with this "Live Service" BS. We paid full price at the time, but IMO only got half a game, and one that wasn't finished too, so yes, let's let someone else have a go at this game. They certainly coulden't do much worse could they?
