Yeah, we'll see another small bump in the number of players returning when the Season 3 drops, but they really need to add A LOT of fresh content to actually gain any new players.
Personally, I would like to see some more Portal content, whether that is more maps/weapons/vehicles for the current eras (BF1942, BC2, BF3) or more eras added like BF2, BF2142, BF4 etc. etc.

Some will come back briefly. Retention might be an issue though, depending on the new content quality and volume. Also depends on how many game breaking bugs they introduce with S3 and how long it takes them to fix.
