Will yesterday's announcement affect your BF2042 playing time ?
How much will yesterdays announcement affect your BF2042 playing time and will it change how you feel about the game overall ?
Personally the announcement has made me feel very deflated and unsure as to how much longer I want to play BF2042.
For me the promise of a Scoreboard and VOIP helps but is simply not enough to keep the interest there, especially as they should have been included from day 1, not added in as a feature after an outcry from the players.
The thought of having to play the current 7 maps for a further 5 or 6 months does not inspire me at all especially as MM makes me play certain maps over and over and denies access to some maps for days.
It's just the sheer repetitiveness of playing so few maps, most of which imho are not as good as previous BF maps, becomes boring very quickly and we really needed new maps to freshen the game up.
Obviously I am very disappointed there was no reference whatsoever regarding a proper Server Browser / Server System that many have been demanding on these forums.
The very fact of having to put up with MM deciding which map I play and not be able to choose how I want to play the game is just not fun for me.
In previous BF's, I found a server played through the whole map rotation enjoyed working with my squad etc. In MM I waste so much time in menu's after every single round and go through hoops just to get into a single map. Who decided that would be an improvement. ?
After yesterdays announcement I personally feel BF2042 will really struggle to maintain a respectable player base and I really worry as to what the impact of it all will have on the future of the Battlefield franchise.
