The opposite can also happen. I left cod after COD waw. Never returned.
Depends on which direction the game takes. Cod took the wrong one imo. The same can happen for BF or is already happening.

I wasn't going to play another COD after BO2 as I got tired of the formula. Didn't play another one until MW2019. Ended up buying MW2019 because I saw a video of a singleplayer mission where the graphics looked ridiculous, and I ended up buying it just to try that level. Ended up playing the multiplayer for 300+ hours and bought Cold war to after that (skipped vanguard since the new battlefield was coming though)- SirBobdk4 years agoSeasoned Ace@BizzyVaping
