@bear66_2009There have been similar customization options in the past.
However I do have to wonder how that would fit into the world EA/DICE are building... with Germany collapsed, does it make sense for them to have a flag in-game? I would think so, but it is an interesting thought...It'd be a nice little touch.
- @carsono311 Arguably, just because their nation has collapsed, they could still feel 'patriotic' to it in a way.
Although technically still a 'NoPat' could they still not associate themselves with their country of origin?

That Nationalism was a dead philosophy, which actually let to this global meltdown in the first place. Opening the news feed every day, it appears that EA got that thing right. :o)
Still think it would be a nice touch, but also worried that EA will not open up that bag of trouble again with UGC material. So if any options to customize such allegiance to any 'fraction', then expect it will be a very controlled list of items we can select from. All fine for me for sure. As long as I just can recognize my friends from foes in the game!
It would be a extremely nice feature, if we would have the ability to "create" our own soldier. But we have specialists. They have to stick to a specific and dumb lore / game design otherwise it would be even more ridiculous.
We could make our own emblems in the BF4 battlelog that was really cool idea and added a personal touch to everyone.
Would be great if we could have a similar system that we could add our own designs to flags/badges/dog tags.
Would make protecting your dog tags and hunting for new ones a real challenge

Like when you came up to a friendly in a vehicle with this emblem on its side, you knew you were in for hell of a great ride! :o)
