xbox one and series x retail difference??

Question

i was going to preorder the game today but i found that both the series x retail price and the xbox one retail price are different by ten dollars. do you guys suggest just buying the xbox one version since i can play it on series x? i assume it will come with all the next gen upgrades but i am wondering if you guys are aware of anything that i should be aware of.

is there something missing in the xbox one version or will i see no issue buying the xbox one version and playing it on series x? as in, it will automatically upgrade per smart delivery?

@sirCOPPERbottom XB1 version only supports 64x64 players. XBSX version supports 128x128 players, plus better graphics capabilities.

@sirCOPPERbottom To restate @ChugKendall, they are two different versions of the game and they are not interchangeable. As such, they would not update / upgrade without another purchase.

If you would like to play on both systems, I would recommend the Gold or Ultimate Editions as they include the “cross-gen” feature that would permit that.

cool. that was the kind of answer i was looking for. i was hoping they will support smart delivery and i can basically play on the series x with the xbox one price. shame. thanks again, for the answer!
