XP farms are back in portal DICE?

With season 1 ending a sudden explosion of XP boost servers have appeared? Any plans to stop this before season 2? And are DICE at least aware?

@Echo6Echo Then I see no issue. Portal has the function to limit XP and progress built in, so if these "farms" are legit, then it is legit.
That a group of users decide to play in a way that benefits them IE. Taking turns head shooting each other, doing take downs etc. how can DICE possibly stop that? It is the players and their intent that are the source of that "problem".

@Prof3ss0r_M1k3 This thing that is frustrating about this. Is that xp farms are allowed. The very reason why the tiered xp system was formed. But you’re not allowed to have full xp if you wanna play normal rules solo cop in aow or pvp/ pve ai in portal.
    Not fair at all.
  • @DeTHRangerV I think these servers help, I myself had problems on my PC and I was 20 days without playing when I came back I finished the weekly missions and stopped at level 98 and with a few days left for the end of the season and without motivation to play this game project I had to play some games to farm up to level 100 lol

If I didn't have a PC problem, I would have finished the season on time without having to resort to farm servers.

    *It's an emergency solution

I think you got a misinformed interpretation of reality here.

In no game mode, including the official ones, can you prevent people from collaborate to game the system.

That you don't like it, that is fair, but you cant blame anyone but the players participating, and barely even them.

For example; I have a portal server which allows only knives and shields (like Irish's and Dozers) because back in the day, i used to enjoy the servers where you could get good at melee damage. Now those may be called as exploiting the system, because by design they allow you to level up some aspects of the game, like getting T1 Dozer.

But is it though? Is that just not a side effect of a certain game mode?
Compare to the combined superiority, which is official, but allows you to level up your vehicles really fast?

So while you consider it unfair, it is all part of the game?
Just because maybe you levelled up your X the hardest way possible, does not make it less earned by someone who took another route.

  • I find it humorous that they all say Melee and vehicle kills will get you banned.

Every game is a melee truck fest.   If you complain, THEN!!!! they ban you for complaining.

Personally, I believe it is the Hosts who are doing all the melee kills.

I was just in one to T1 Falck, and I kept getting attacked.   I defended myself and right at game end, they banned me to prevent rewards.   If you have to do them, be prepared to be farmed
