It was OK but, as I mentioned in the other thread, I was more of a Locker man. I still play those 2000 ticket 24/7 Locker servers quite often actually.

Yeah I enjoyed Locker too, I thought they captured the prison atmosphere pretty well didn't they.
Never understood the appeal of metro. It was just a set of stairs that you fought over for 20+ minutes. There were a lot better infantry maps before and after Metro.
@Noodlesocks Breaking through that bottleneck was super satisfying/part of the appeal, and completely changed the dynamic of the map. I felt, as a lone wolf type of player, I could actually make a difference
@ElliotLHDude I lived on these servers, never having to worry about a vehicle. Just the robot repair drone coming around the corner.

I think with the riot shield and Irishs devices these maps would be a blast.
But I'm afraid they'll drop into portal and never be able to earn the xp/progression i would get from a hc max ticket meat grinder.
People saying this is for CoD players is hilarious since so many people want TDM mode in portal but don't say anything about it being cod like.
It had multiple game modes available, all without vehicles.
A real good flank could turn the whole game around, being able to push your team out of a spawn trap was so rewarding.- @GarfieldTehKat Same here - they're just excellent for those times when you want to switch your brain off. I still live in fear of those bots though.
I'd need to double check (speaking of switching brains off) but I think BF4 had Frostbite 3 so destruction should be possible. Some mounted MGs would be nice if they got added and, like you mentioned, it'd be a really good map for Irish and Dozer. Actually Casper should do OK on the outside area or flying the drone through the inside too.
I can see why some people think of COD with a map like Locker but I don't see it myself. I also think that, like with Metro 2.0, it'd work alright for Breakthrough as well as Conquest.
The biggest issue in my mind, again similar to you, would be how XP would be handled. It'd probably need full progression to encourage people to play.Honestly I have not been in the Metro now for many months, but just checked and see my own Metro server is still running fully loaded 24/7 in BF4 !
And if players are having a blast, then why shouldn't EA/DICE make such maps as Locker and Metro available for those that wants such intense meat grinding CQC maps to have fun on!?
It would definitely be a welcome change to the otherwise big boring empty maps of BF2042, where we often need to spawn in and run literally for 5+ minutes before we can find the first enemy to engage with. 👍
