All the maps need to be reworked to even consider to address reducing the movement speedsm or to introduce fatique mechanics.
- 4 years ago@kregora They got so many traversal choices in-game now and with the upcoming map reworks with tons of cqc. I think it's only a good idea to make both running modes useful in different scenario's. I think nerf the smg's too or otherwise they're gonna be a little TOO meta now

i don't think they should make any changes to movement until (at least) after the map reworks are done and final
IMO they shouldn't slow players down. the only two sets of people that would like that are vehicle mains and snipers. anything to make infantry easier to farm

Making players able to run faster with no penalty or stamina limits is not a good solution. Earlier BF games had way more vehicles (land, sea and air) to let people get around. 2042 has very few and actually less than launch with the nerfs. But it is apparently easier to speed up the walking simulator than sort out the balancing issues and actually get more vehicles in game.

I don't think the movement speed is such an issue.
Ground-based movement across the map is pretty predictable, but people flying half way across the map (wingsuits) or being able to get to high places instantly are way worse (zip-lines) and make the gameplay more casual/stupid than needed.
