Battlefield2042 is not starting
Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue launching Battlefield 2042 through Steam. The game used to work fine, but now it crashes at startup with the message:
“Could not start the game due to an error on our side. Please try again later.”
Steps I’ve already tried:
1. Reinstalled both the game and EA App completely.
2. Deleted registry keys related to Origin/EA (Origin.OFR.50.0004152).
3. Cleared EA App cache (%ProgramData%\EA Desktop, %AppData%\Local\EA Desktop, %AppData%\Roaming\EA Desktop).
4. Unlinked and re-linked Steam and EA App.
5. Verified game files through Steam.
6. Ran EA App and Steam as administrator.
Despite all these steps, the game still crashes. Logs show that:
• The game status changes to Running
• Link2EA.exe.steam disconnects immediately, which causes the crash
Please assist with resetting my Link2EA token or account authorization on your servers, so the game can launch correctly.
