Audio cuts out after previous update :(

Since the new update my audio has been cutting out and taking Discord with it.  Using Logitech G432.  Worked fine prior to the last update, works fine in others games.  Comes on initially after maybe 10 minutes of play, cutting out for a few seconds every couple of minutes but progressively gets worse as the game goes on until it's every few seconds and the game is completely unplayable.

  • Okay I found a fix:

    Go to the BF2042 install folder, open the anticheat folder and run it's installer.  Select BF2042 from the drop down menu and uninstall.  Close the anti-cheat installer and run BF2042, the game will redownload the anti-cheat.  Haven't had this issue since.

    @DoubleWhaleVic Uninstall gpu driver with DDU in windows SAFE MODE.
    Make sure ya pre downloaded new / update / correct gpu driver.
    After uninstall gpu driver in safe mode, boot windows WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION.

    Now install new gpu driver and reboot system.
    Connect internet and test game again.

    any other audio drivers/tools installed ?

    @DoubleWhaleVic If open windows dxdiag , in this dxdiag windows is a button SAVE ALL INFORMATION.
    It will create a TXT file, post this file !
  • Half measures didn't help. Full reinstallation helped. I've just played a full 20-minute match.

    @DoubleWhaleVic yes , many people got issues they cant solve with troubleshooting their system , unfortunally.
    Most times windows get corrupted (used it for long time with all kind of software/ apps installed and uninstalled) and did get poluted with all kind of left overs files/folders/registry settings ect ect ect.

    A clean/fresh (uptodate latest windows version) will fix almost everytime all issues (unless there is some hardware failure).
