battlefield 2042 1.08

Just purchased the PS5 disc version of Battlefield 2042

The game installs correctly but must install the new update 1.000.009

After it finishes to download the update it show an ERROR - Can't Install

I have enough space on my machine so there is no aperient reason for this problem.

Unfortunately I can't Return the game because I bought it in Thailand and my machine is in Israel.

The game launches but wont connect to the servers so I can't pass even the first load screen

HELP please

    Hey @yehonatankashti,

    Welcome!

Oh no, that sounds very strange indeed.

It is indeed the case that you'll get a loading screen error when the update has not installed correctly, this is due to the mismatch of the game & the servers, so the servers blocks the game.

Regarding the error that you're getting on your PS5; does it also display an error code by any chance?

  • Hi

Thank tou for the quick reply

Yeah there are two error codes that show up

Most of the time its this one

    CE-107858-9

    - But sometime it shows this one CE-105892-5

I didn't find any info about the meaning of each one.

Can the issue be regional? (Like I said I bought it in Thailand and tried to install it in Israel)

Does it mean that any other physical copy of the game won't work on my machine?

    THX

    @yehonatankashti, thanks for the code.

They seem to be more generic error codes from the console/Sony themselves, not something related to the game. A region issue can indeed be the cause of this, although I'm unfortunately not sure.

Unfortunately, due to it being a console, troubleshooting is very limited. Although there are a few steps that you can try. I will mention a few, maybe you have done some of them already:

    - Make sure that there's enough space free to install the game (at least 10GB+ more than the install size of the game)

    - Install the game on the internal SSD of the console and not on the extra internal NVMe SSD of the console or an external SSD/HDD

    - Power cycle the console:
Completely turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button

Wait for the power light to stop flashing, then remove the power cable and leave the system for 20 minutes

Reconnect and attempt to launch Safe Mode

    - Rebuild the PS5 database:
Turn off your console by pressing the power button

The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off

Once the system is off, press and hold the power button again

Release it after you hear the second beep

One beep will sound when you first press, and another seven seconds later

Connect the controller with the USB cable

Press the PlayStation button on the controller

    Select Rebuild Database

Let me know if this works for you.
