Hi all. I am unable to play Battlefield 2042 due to DirectX error related with GPU, for few days. Even though I manage to enter the main game screen and join a game, this error shows up after several minutes. I've tried EVERYTHING on the internet related to this problem. The regedit thing, tried almost every available driver for my GPU, the DDU thing, running as administrator or disabling fullscreen optimization, switching between fullscreen or borderless or changing some other settings in game, disabling in-game overlays, killing some background processes or shutting down some programs while game is running, deleting cache, updating BIOS and Windows, enabling/disabling core isolation memory integrity... None of them has worked. It is also a great success that you couldn't fix a problem which people are suffering since 2021, to 2025 @EA. Now please a developer from EA can tell me how I am going to solve this problem permanently? PC specs and screenshot of error are down below. Note that I'm getting 4-5 kind of similar DirectX errors, not the exact same error message with this one everytime.CPU: i5-11400hGPU: RTX3050 4GB LaptopRAM: 2x8 GB DDR4 3200MHz

Hi everyone. Same here, I get a DirectX error while loading the game and it goes to the desktop or it freezes. I have done everything, even formatting and reinstalling Windows 11.The game was running fine and fluidly until two days ago.I have enough equipment:i7 32GbWindows 11 64RTX 360

i have the exact same problems lol tried everything nothing helps

Add that IT ONLY HAPPENS WITH Battlefield 2042, with the rest of the games THERE IS NO PROBLEM, including Battlefield 4 and the Sims.

A friend had this issue and just got it running. He said the last thing he tried was to clear ea app cache and sign out/back in. Good luck!

Try disabling your integrated gpu in the bios settings or device manager. I wasnt able to play 2042 since last Friday due to constant crashing with and without DirectX errors. I just disabled my igpu as a hail mary and it seems to be working now.

Pc crashing and locking on Multiplayer load screen , black screen and Pc needs hard restart , no sound, no vehicles rendering when do manage to get in a game. This is worse than launch. I've over 2k hours on this game and issues are recent for me , ppl with pc on my friends , and many on discord, This is and EA problem with 2042 only it seems and they are not responding or addressing it even tho it seems to be wide spread. PLEASE ADVISE

I had the same Problem since a few days and today I finally solved it and can play again.
Maybe it helps somebody, here are my Steps:
I reinstalled EA and BF2042, also th C++ Redistributables, but this didn't help
I deleted all "EA" and "Battlefield..." folders from C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local
Then I ran Windows "Disk Cleanup" and cleaned all Options, because I had "only" 32 GB of space left
Restarted Windows 11
And after an looog startup time BF2042 finally startet again

To me it looks like there was a really big update in the pipeline which could not be processed, maybe because of not enough space on C:\. Even when my BF2042 is not even stored on C:\...

My friend. Obviously it is not a question of buying a new PC. But it is true that installing Windows 10 is within everyone's reach, the only bad thing is that you may be saving your important files, in my case I have three disks and I have everything separated, so the jump has been very easy. It is a TEMPORARY SOLUTION, EVERYTHING continues to work very well for me, until the LONG WAIT for them to want to recognize and solve the problem that these monstrous companies have (Microsoft and EA).
