EA Anti-Cheat shows an error stating that software from “DiscSoftLTD” (DAEMON Tools) cannot run alongside Battlefield 2042. However, I have already completely removed this software from my system.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Uninstalled DAEMON Tools via Windows
Deleted all leftover folders in File Explorer
Scanned and cleaned the Windows Registry
Checked for hidden drivers using DriverStore Explorer --> no DiscSoft or Daemon-related drivers found
Fully reinstalled Battlefield 2042
Uninstalled and reinstalled EA Anti-Cheat
Enabled debug logging via EAAntiCheat.Settings.xml — but no logs are being generated, indicating EAAC fails before launch
It appears EA Anti-Cheat is incorrectly flagging a non-existent driver or cached data.
Could you please confirm if EAAC is caching any device or driver history, and how I can resolve this permanently?
