Battlefield 2042 exits fullscreen when I hit spacebar
The game runs smooth as butter and it's been a relatively good experience so far since I started playing last weekend.
With the minor exception of the game getting minimized/exiting fullscreen mode every time I press spacebar, so basically when I'm trying to jump over any obstacles in-game. It does appear to only happen when I am in-game, so not even on the spawn point selection screen.
I've tried reinstalling and it didn't help. I've read about other people not being able to get into fullscreen mode at all on this forum, but I haven't read anything about the game minimizing completely when hitting spacebar.

I have found the cause and intended to post it here, just hadn't gotten around to it yet.
The issue was caused by Windows PowerToys, in which space was assigned as a special character selection shortcut. Normally you would write a letter and then hold spacebar while selecting a special character from the interface using arrow keys, but it seems this is integrated like a separate window and it automatically focuses on that, thereby minimizing the game. Disabling this functionality in PowerToys fixed the issue.
