  • I also have a similar graphics glitch only I experience in gameplay too. I found a video on YouTube that reported a fix to delete all the files in the battlefield game folder ie. reinstall the game. I haven’t tried it out myself though

I've DDU my driver and reinstalled latest gforce game ready driver, reinstalled the game twice, dropped it to the lowest graphical settings I can get it and it's still there. I have a 2070 max q and I seriously can't think of anything else to try. Maybe I'm uninstalling the game incorrectly? Bought on EA play and I just uninstall through the client?

  • i had this problem when battlefield released there first RELEASE update never been abled to play the game becouse of those FLASHES even with this update it dus not fix it

  • Having the same issue. Screen turns purple and green, then white with black particles. Seems to be a lighting affect. Happens in lobby and in game, every time. Game ran fine, flawlessly with a 1080ti, until I installed a MSI 3080. DDU removed drivers, reinstalled drivers. Deleted BF2042 from documents folder. Reinstalled BF2042. Changed what I would consider to be every setting in game, some help to reduce the frequency of the issue but nothing removes it completely. Don't understand how so many are finding a solution just deleting the documents folder, nothing has worked for me. Desperately need a fix, game is completely unplayable. Note: Every other game runs perfect on this 3080 it's just BF2042

Summarize your bug Like I mentioned, graphic distortions.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just wait and watch
What happens when the bug occurs? Incredibly often!
What should be happening instead? There should be NO distortions or graphical effects!

This is so silly. I can't even tell how old this thread is! At any rate I've been plagued by "similar" graphic glitches for ages now in 2042. In the early stages it was as if you were thrown into a game of Atari Star Raiders where the entire screen RUSHES at you with little black particles like you'd shifted into warp speed. The latest iteration of the problem is a bit like a lens flare or when celluloid film burns. Any relatively bright object becomes the source of a growing blob of light which increases in size to eventually fill the entire screen. Sometimes by turning away 180° I can get back to a normal display for a short interval, but usually there is simply NO way to avoid the inevitable graphic smears. Nvidia driver updates don't seem to make a positive difference either.

I'm wondering and truly hoping that a change to an AMD graphic card will finally dispell this problem!
