With Win10 losing support and 11 requiring it, you're gonna start having some amount of pressure to do it not just for 2042, but other games and quite literally your OS.
It really only takes a few minutes and it likely is asking because you can do it as pointed out by the EA lad. One thing to note is on my brother's PC we had to go into the OS after a few changes, then restart into BIOS a second time to properly get Secure Boot activated. It's a bit weird but once you do that you're home free and legit nothing changes for you in how you use the computer.
