Battlefield 2042 micro stuttering when running

Battlefield 2042 micro stuttering when running. This does not happen all of the time but at least 80%. This does not seem to be a performance or network issue on my end as i am getting 90-120fps with...

@Rokebo73 I can confirm it’s not my network. I just attempted to connect this to full GB fibre as a friends 1000/1000 and I still have exactly the same issue. This has to be game related

Do those connection icons appear for you when said micro stutter happens?

    @Krispy_AssassinxNope this is the issue. We get no connection issue icons whenever this happens. The only thing we have all noticed is when the microstutter happens if you look
    In graph settings the time nudge is fluctuating

    @NightHawkk1997 Interesting. I also have some micro stuttering here and there, but I also get the big ping spikes. I just deleted the cache folder, played 1 full game without very minimal to no stuttering or ping issues.

    @Krispy_Assassinx Mine is usually about half way through the game the stutter begins then it goes then it comes back! Sometimes it’s really bad sometimes it’s not!

    I can almost 100% confirm its the game now as I have reduced all my setting to a mix of medium-high on rtx 3080 and I am getting a stable 120fps at 4k with no dips and I still get the micro stutters. I will probably continue to play at these settings even though it can play on higher settings but this just reduces any dips in game play. but the micro stutter is for sure the game or the servers. I plan to get a 4090 at some point so if it still stutters on that then...

    It’s definitely the game, I think you’d find that you would still get these stutters even on a behemoth 4090😉

    @raverill I am meant to be getting full fibre next week or so and that will also be a good test to see if it’s the game or not as well I think as it will be a totally new network! Just want them to fix it really now! It could maybe be specific internet providers and the link between the EA servers I don’t know!

    @NightHawkk1997Wise words, this is an idea to investigate who got stutter / lag / rubberbanding and what connection they use/got ! Enter type of connection you use:

    What typ of connection do you got?

    ADSL , What upload and download speed do you got?. What is distance from your connection/property to cabinet, 

    BROADBAND , What upload and download speed do you got?

    FIBER , What upload and download speed do you got?.

    Who is your ISP
    What country are you in ?

    What windows version do you run ?

    What CPU and GPU is installed ?

    What brand memory,  ammount and MHZ installed ?
    Got an VPN running ?
    Any virusscanner / firewall installed ?

    @NightHawkk1997 Hi, fibre is not going to help you.
    I got 1000/100 fibre connection and i'm still getting TN rubber banding.
    It's an issue with the game/servers

    @Max1boy Unfortunately, you're right there. This game is going to need a good patch to sort this issue out. Full fibre connection will help Nighthawk download those patches super speedy though

    @raverill Clearly it’s not internet speed related but maybe it’s specific service provider related I don’t know… clutching at straws here! For example the service providers servers to the EA servers. Not a clue. All I know is that no other online game has any form of stuttering and the fact the ps5 is doing it as well makes me wonder. But then I have been on some of my friends consoles and pc’s and ye have almost no stutter. It’s specific to something though within our networks/computers that’s the game is not coping with…

    @NightHawkk1997yes thats is possible indeed, maybe some ISP got a terrible hop some where !  Question? got memory in dual channel mode set ?

    @Rokebo73 Yep using 32GB ddr5 ram Kingston fury beast in slots 2 and 4 so it’s using dual channel. This should do this automatically correct? I do not have to manually confirm it to do this I don’t think. Once in correct slots it will work

    @NightHawkk1997 dual channel is auto if ya set it in bank 2 and 4 (A2 and B2) , did oc mem in BIOS ?

    @NightHawkk1997 ps in game press the key Left from the 1 , that is ` this key
    typ Pref. and scroll down in the list to perf_overlay_drawfps , press enter when selected
    now press 1 and press eneter
    press ` againm to close console, now you see fps right side upper corner, how man fps (GPU) do you see ?

    @Rokebo73 I am still online ye, and I am waiting for that but tried it over 5g router which was 300mb and low latency and exactly the same issue haha

    @NightHawkk1997 Can you tell me what settings you use in Options / DISPLAY ? as the fullscreen mode , refresh rate and that kind of stuff ?!

    @Rokebo73 I use 120hz as my display is 120hz and I use 4k

    Please note I have exactly the same issue at 2k and 1080p I also have the same issue at 60hz

    @NightHawkk1997 I want you to check something !
    It seems everytime people start the game, display settings gonna be reset. While in display settings on screen nothing visiblw changed.
    So this means if ya normally play at FULL screen, you need to switch to bordeless for example and APPLY, then switch back to FULLSCREEN and apply. Probarly same for refresh rate and other display options !

    Please test and update me !
