Well, you might be in luck, as after 2 hours of messing around will all the BF graphic settings and getting nowhere I did manage to get mine working via the NVidia control panel.
Last attempt was to limit the maximum FPS the card would be able to generate.I edited the NVidia BF profile from the Nvidia Control panel to not exceed Max 60 FPS.
This worked and I was able to play last night for over 4 hours and had no crashes, also I found the gameplay a smoother experience on the 64 player games then I have ever had before.I checked MSI afterburner for temperature and speed (which were all fine) but found the frame rates over time were jumping between 12 FPS to over 70 at random intervals. I think this is what was causing the GPU hanging crash as it’s a badly optimised game engine and EA should be ashamed of themselves for not addressing this serious issue.
If you want to give it a try (at your own risk!) this is where you find the settings.:
Nvidia Control Panel> Manage 3D settings> Tab Program Settings
Select Battlefield, Set Max Frame Rate: 60 fps, then click APPLYIf you still have issues you could try adjusting the FPS at lower max levels till something works, mine was Ok at 60 so left it there.
If your using a AMD card then I expect there is a AMD alternative.
