I did use your suggestion to place a user.cfg file in the Battlefield 2042 file, and I still had some stuttering/lag issues, but not nearly as bad. I might tweak the settings a bit and see what happens. Thanks for your help!

@Schep yes try to play with the number of cores.
You got 12 core cpu (24 with virtualization enabled).
Stay below 12 cores , try about 8 , lower or higer , find the best setting for your game/system performance.Also try to lower desktop resolution for better performance and desktop Hz !
Alos check what Mhz your memory is able to run on, make sure the mem Mhz is compatible with your CPU !
Set max Mhz for mem but make sure its ok with cpu (compatible)
