Battlefield 2042 wont start (DiscSoftLtd)
Since i have bf42 i never ever have this error before.I did not update anydrivers or anything.Played last time before several hours.

Sorry to hear you're running into this issue. A workaround for this was found in this thread here
Can you check to see if you have "Daemon tools" installed? If so try uninstalling Daemon tools and see if that resolves the problem.
Hey so it seems like alot of people are having this issue and dont have anything called DiscSoftLTD or from DiscSoftLTD. However, Daemon Tools publishes DiscSoftLTD and... ReWASD. The workaround is that your anticheat forcing your users to delete a controller mapping software that is well known just to play your game? This cannot be the "solution" you think the player are gonna have to use... Can whoever works on the anticheat please for the love of god and everything that is holy fix this. I would hate to have to put this game on the shelf forever.

Using reWASD is not allowed under the EA anti-cheat as it can be used to gain an unfair advantage. Sorry, but you'll have to use an alternative such as Steam overlay for button mapping.
how would Daemon Tools give you "an unfair advantage" though?
EA just f-ed up while updating the anti-cheat and now should just fix it.
It is not specifically Daemon Tools it is that whole process going on on the background that will be flagged. It you know how those programs work then you would understand
But how do you say in English that all such programs have been deleted and still it doesn't work?
