My battlefield 2042 just died and I don't know why!
When I try to start the game, it shows a black window and freezes. (see attached file)
Sometimes it just close back to EA App.
What i've tried:
- Change compatibility to Windows 8
- Change to admin mode
- Uninstall and install the game
- Close another game apps like: steam, epic or ubisoft
I don't know what to do now!
I need help.
EA StaffWindows 8 does not support DX12, so this won't work.
A dxdiag file would help.
One thing that you could also try is to rename the shader cache folder located here: C:\Users\%user%\Documents\Battlefield 2042\cache
Rename it to something like "cache_backup" and try to restart the game. Does that work?
My game will not even start, I see the Easy-Anti cheat screen and there it stops. When I go into Origin, all the features are unavailable. I can chose "Remove from Favorites" and "Hide", all the other options are greyed out.
i have had this for over a year - i have paid $40 for a game that i never got to play
and ea will not provide me with a fix
