Battlefield Games Will Not Launch

Hi, I'm looking for some help! I bought 3 Battlefield games earlier this year: BF1, BF5, and BF2042. I played all three of them for months with no problems. And then beginning last week...

none of them will launch any more. I've tried launching each of them from my desktop shortcuts, from Steam, and from the EA app. I've cleared the EA app cache numerous times. I updated my nvidia graphics driver (4060 mobile). After trying all sorts of other things I uninstalled everything; all three games, Steam and EA apps, everything. Waited two days and reinstalled -- same problem.

When I try to launch a game here's what happens:

1. I get the "Starting Game" splash screen, sometimes also a "Preparing Game" message opens and closes.

2. Then the Battlefield V splash screen opens and closes.

3. Then a Frostbite window opens. Sometimes it hangs up with Battlefield V in the corner and does nothing, sometimes it opens and closes right away.

4. Then an EA window opens and closes, really fast, as though they don't want you to read the message. I finally took a screenshot to read it. It says, "Some features have been disabled because the EA app launched from another application."

That's it. NO GAME. I've tried every combination of launch I can think of. I had NONE of these problems before last week.

Can anyone suggest a way to fix this?

    Hey, man!

I've been away from this problem for a long time but I finally had time to back everything up, delete all game files, and do a full fresh Windows install on my laptop. I wanted to let you know that seems to have solved it.

TBH it took way longer than I thought it would because it didn't sit well with my HP Victus when I tried the new install. I had to troubleshoot some issues before it would install. Tonight I got around to reinstalling BF V AND IT RUNS! I'm finally back in the fight.

I wanted to thank for helping when I was about ready to delete Steam and forget the whole thing when they were no help. I still don't know what the problem was -- but tomorrow I'll try reinstalling BF1 and see if that runs, then if it does, BF 2042.

Thanks again, and Happy New Year to you, brother!

    @LeadM4gnet Good NewYear

A fresh new windows install every year (or 2 year) is not bad/wrong at all.
    |Dont use 3rd party cleaning tools (registry cleanup apps ect ect ect), it will damage windows config at the long term !!!
Also better dont use a 3rd party virus scnner/firewall app, WINDOWS DEFENDER is good as any other 3rd party tool !!

    Have Fun and Game On!

    Cheers
