- @Pandykitten They won't fix it until it's brought to their attention , these kind of underclocks and undervolts will do nothing long run except hinder performance for high end users , if you want to fix the issue adress the devs twitter don't look for homebrew fixes.
- @off3nc3 Then don’t use it, I’m trying to help people with success and your negativity is not helping anyone. Why don’t you go let them know if this is so important? You’re making it sound like I’m responsible for it even though I’m just providing a possible solution. If that solution is not for you, then there’s no need for this conversation and just move on. Everyone makes their own decision on if it’s worth it or not, high end users will not notice any performance drops from this slight adjustment which is only for this game specifically. Homebrew fixes is exactly what this entire forum is doing to make sure the games you want to play are working so if only an official patch fix is what you want, this is not the place to find it.
@Pandykittenyou are not helping anyone with this , it's a homebrew fix that requires downlocks on original CPU base stock clocks , you are also not paid to do anything you are not even a mod on this forum , raise awarness on the devs twitter instead of wasting time here if you really want to help fix this issue for the masses.
- @off3nc3 You’re just trolling at this point repeating false points so I won’t waste my time with this conversation. I’m happy it has helped people play the game and hope it will help more who has the same issue.
- I try everything.
Disable XMP.... still crash.
Trim Memory with Lasso... still crash.
Lower my core clocks .... still crash...
pls FIX the $#%@%* game - Rokebo733 years agoSeasoned Ace@Bokouli When did this all started ? Did ya troubleshoot already ?
Post a dxdiag please @Rokebo73I have 2 pcs.
I have 2 battlefields 2042.
On one pc (with 16GB memory) the game runs with everything in low. It never crash.
On the other pc, the game runs on medium-low graphics. (also 16gb memory). In this pc the game crashing.
Yesterday add 16gb memory more into it (which I took from the other pc), for a total of 32 now, and it didn't get crash even once in the 5 games I played.
So I have to buy memory. @_@'''
(1 month ago I got a nvm drive so that the textures don't take too long to load when I play). @_@'''
So 2042 will cost me quite a lot after all...

- @Pandykitten where did I exactly troll ? I think there is a communication problem between us , let's see if you can understand this now , If i Buy a brand new FERRARI i will not remove one cilinder for it to become more driveable on populated roads.
You provided a few users a bandaid for a huge gamebreaking issue that needs to be raised at devs. POV , this is not a fix , it's a downlock which i don't recommend anyone doing , when a game or software forces you to tweak hardware specs then the issues are very huge , also some folks here already lowered clocks and did everything they could and the issue is still at hand.
I'm not replying to you anymore though.
For the last time posting in this thread for everyone else, this is a gambreaking bug on DICE's side and we / the users are not at fault here.
Hopefully it'll get patched but at the rate of how they are moving behind the scenes at HQ i'm just gonna pass on the game for a while. Some of you with the just crashing to desktop without error try deleting the files inside the cache folder.
Documents\Battlefield 2042\cache
This seemed to have worked for me, and this use to be a problem for some people in the past.
Just a suggestion....
