BF2042 on PC - Still unable to connect - error code = 1:4688822970:100J:1004G

Anyone else still experiencing this issue on PC following latest BF2042 patch #3?  Any workaround? error code = 1:4688822970:100J:1004G

    Can we try out some troubleshooting to see if we can help get you back online? 

    When you have the chance I'd recommend starting out with the basic connectivity steps from the EA Help website. If you're still getting the same error message after that please let me know. Thanks!

same problem here, haven't been able to connect since the 2st update on the 2nd of December. game worked fine before then now I cant even get to game menu. I have tired the basic connectivity steps and every other step i could find on other forums. Steam wont give me a refund because i played more than 2 hours but don't care that I haven't been able to play this broken game since the 2nd of December.

Hey @AwessM93, 

When you have the chance can you try resetting the password for your EA Account to see if that makes any difference? I've seen some cases where that can help with similar issues, so I am curious if it might do the trick here as well. 

You can find more info on how to reset the password at the EA Help website. Once you have the chance to give it a shot please let me know if you're getting the same error. Thanks!

      Thanks for letting me know. 


      Did you have the chance to try setting a different DNS in Windows to see if that makes a difference? You can update it through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. Choosing the Manual option will let you enter a DNS of your choice. You can find more info on how to get there at the Microsoft Support website. 

      I usually go with the public Google DNS (Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8; Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4), but I've also heard from a few people who have said that using the public Cloudflare DNS can also help (Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1).

        Hi,

        I have tried that and still hasn't worked. I have also uninstalled the game and re-installed but that hasn't worked. I have no issue playing battlefield 4 online or any other EA game online just battlefield 2042.
