BSOD since 2 patches ago when running BF2042
Windows 10,
I don't remember the last time I had a BSOD.
It's a new system, assembled barely 2 months ago.
Asus W680-ACE IPMI
128GB ECC RAM (real ecc)
Intel i9-14900k
KFA2 4070 RTX
1200W PSU
I start the game. Some error about dx12 and suddenly reeeeee a Bluescreen of Death.
Sadly I couldn't grab the smartphone quickly enough to make q photo, no one will believe me that in this day and age they'd see a BSOD again.
I had ASUS Armory installed, but that lead to the computer rebooting when I shutdown BF2042.
So I removed it and the files which caused the shutdown.
Latest Nvidia drivers.
Latest BIOS and latest everything.
Effectively I can't play this game anymore.
- @Darqul This was apparently "fixed" by repairing the game files, probably from leftovers or corruption from previous crashes and computer reboot after exiting the game.
Repair your game files and try again, after each crash
