Can't find my friend with EA ID. My friend plays on Xbox Series S and I play from PC. We can't find each other.

Have you and your friend both double-checked to make sure that you have the options for cross-play and invites enabled in your account privacy settings?
Very late reply - but can this please be updated in the game settings?
We played together on PS5 & PC. In the crossplay settings it says "Cross-Play allows you to connect and play with players [...] regardless of what platform they play on.", only to find out that it's not "regardless of what platform" because we can't invite friends on PS4.
i play on xbox series S and my friend plays on ps4 i have the xbox one version of the game and i cant add him thru the search bar we both have our ea id's and it doesnt work i dont know what else to do
