Can't see friends IN GAME

I have been trying everything to attempt to play with my friends on BF2042, but you guys seem to have made it not a possibility at all. We are both on EA app, we have added and unadded each other multiple times. Let's make sure you guys keep it up! 🙂 

We do not see each other in game, when we search eachother, it says add friend, after we are already friends, there is no option to invite.
