Changing to 3440x1440 crashes my game

Summarize your bug Whenever I try to change from 2560x1440 to 3440x1440 I crash out of the game and get this error. Happened every time i've tried. I have completely reinstalled all drivers etc. Any fix?
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Change from 2560x1440 to 3440x1440. I use an Alienware 34 QD-OLED GamingMonitor-AW3423DW-86.8cm if that information is of use.
What happens when the bug occurs? Screen goes black for a few seconds and then the attached dialog box with the error message appears. Game just stops working.
What should be happening instead? I get to play the game in 3440x1440
