This works if you have bought the game via Origin. If you got it via Steam then theres also videos on this channel for that fix too
that was for origin though, the EA app is different (or at least, i haven't been able to find all of those settings in the EA app).
I am having the same problem. I use a PS4 controller and my jump button jumps but also opens in game chat.
I'm using the Xbox Elite series 2 controller and have the same problem: the jump button opens the chat box.
