@SkyGaudon have you tried following the video i linked above?
Only difference i had was i had to log into origin at the end to launch but it works perfectly for me now.
Been confirmed as a fix by several others. If yoy go into the big thread on Xbox controllers not working theres a few other videos/fixes there

I did give it a shot, but it didn't make a difference. Controller still doesn't register anything in game (but works just fine in windows, other games, and bf4/1).
I'm also just not interested in jumping through such hoops to make something as simple as a controller work by adding the game in steam, messing with options, launching it through stream etc...
It would cost me like $100 CAD to buy this game.. I'm not interested in spending time finding workarounds for the plethora of issues the game is plagued by.
They need to improve their controller implementation substantially so that this isn't a problem for your average Joe. I don't want to recommend this to a friend and then say "Oh by the way if you want to use a controller to fly a helicopter instead of mouse/keyboard, you need to do X then Y, then Z etc etc."
It's just unprofessional and simply a pain in the *. They rushed the game to make the holiday season despite it's issues and short comings. I get it and so be it.. but if the hype has died by the time It's worth buying in several months (I am by no means a die-hard battlefield fan, but I have played quite a few of them over the years), and I can finally play it in the way that I want to play it then ultimately I'll just pass on this one, or pick it up for cheap in a couple years time.
