I have had the same issue. After setting custom mapping for vehicles, I cannot change BOTH the sticks and buttons back to DEFAULT, or the game crashes. I can set either one of them back to default, but as soon as I change the other, the game crashes.

The game keeps freezing then crashing whenever I try to change the vehicle settings in Controller Schemes from custom back to default (or anything for that matter). Every single time it keeps freezing and crashing, I cannot change it back to anything other than custom.

@Arfan76I’m having the same issue on Series X. After changing the Pilot controls to Custom, it crashes the game and when I boot up the game and try changing them back in the settings, it crashes again. If I don’t touch the Pilot control setting to revert back to Default, I can navigate and play with no issues. The same happens with the Soldier control settings. They are basically stuck in Custom since I cannot revert them back to default without crashing the game.

Summarize your bug I was in the one on one with bots testing out custom helicopter controls. Attempting to switch from custom controls back to default the game would crash completely sending me back to the Xbox home screen.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a custom controller setting for fight. start a multiplayer game with just one person and the rest are bots. Attempt to switch from custom controls to default
What happens when the bug occurs? Game crashes to home screen and needs to be restarted.
What should be happening instead? Controls should simply switch from custom to default

It's a pretty straight forward technical glitch to recreate.

@gorevs2002 Same, my ground vehicle controls are stuck on custom. As soon as I go to change it's back CRASH. This game is a mess right now.

@FR0STBITE71 Have you gotten it to go back to default yet? I uninstalled an re installed on X series but the controls still said custom I just deleted all data an the game hopefully when I try it later it works

Glad I’m not the only one having this issue. It’s making me lose my mind though. I want to use helicopters so bad but I literally can’t. Someone please fix this.

Clearing game data doesn’t work with Xbox. Still running into the same issue.

It seems that if any one option is set to Custom and you try to switch it, it hangs up and crashes.

I noticed when I hovered over Default on Air Pilot Button, that the controller on the side for visualization doesn’t show up. It shows Default for the selection, but thinks and shows that it’s still on Custom.
